Classes for Adults
$25 session fee includes one class each week for four weeks.
“Watercolor Landscapes” for Adults, Mondays, June 4, 11, 18, 25 from 3 to 5 p.m.
A watercolor class for everyone on all levels wanting to learn new techniques and paint the buildings and landscapes. Students will create a landscape while the instructor leads you through the basics of material layout and design as well as watercolor painting
techniques. Instructor Jack Fetzer from North Canton, Ohio has been painting watercolor landscapes for 35 years. He has traveled almost all of the United States, but prefers to paint scenes he knows best. This class has a requested supply list available online and in the library’s information center. If you have painted previously bring your usual supplies. If you are a beginner, you will need the following supplies:
Tubes of student grade watercolors in
VanDyke Brown, Cerulean Blue, Raw Sienna,
Cad Red, Olive Green, Ultra Marine Blue.
Brushes: synthetic or sable no. 6 round, no. 8 round, no. 6 rigger, 1" flat
Other supplies: Plastic palette for mixing. 2 sheets of 30” x 22”, 140 lb watercolor paper. We cut one sheet
into 4 equal pieces. (11 x 15). Masking fluid (11 x 15). Masking fluid, 16 x 20 piece of plexiglass or Masonite or stiff cardboard. 3/4 " drafting tape. HB or 2B pencil & eraser, container for water.
