You need not commit to all sessions in order to participate; come as often as you are able. All sessions will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the North Canton Public Library.

September 19— Warrior Beat is a nonprofit organization that promotes healing, well-being, and fellowship for military veterans through professionally facilitated group drumming. Drumming can create positive psychological effects, help control chronic pain as well as boost immune systems. Studies have shown that drumming in a group setting provides a wide range of psychological benefits, and we will be introduced to this wonderful activity.

An oddities and antiques shop in Morgantown, WV. A chance encounter with a binder full of World War II-era letters. The unfolding story of a circle of friends and family--the Hites, the Herrons, the Mulls, and more—and the art and tradition of letter-writing that kept them close while they were continents apart.

This preschool class will be a morning of fun fall projects. Play and experiment with colors, shapes and forms using paints, collages, clay and other mixed media.  The colorful autumn leaves will definitely inspire this creative class.  Come join us! Instructor: Kathy Cancelliere

Thursdays, September 14, 21, 28 and October 5 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Anna Rather will teach her technique for stamping with acrylic paint. We will upcycle found objects such as bottle tops, nuts, bolts and screws to create one-of-a-kind stamps. A combination of acrylic and metallic paint will give final artwork a shimmering glow.

Supplies: please bring odds and ends such as bottle tops, nuts, bolts and screws. We will share with each other in class so if you have none, supplies will be provided. Instructor: Anna Rather

“Intrigued by Watercolor” for Adults and High School students Class Fee $45
Saturdays, September 16, 23, 30 and October 7, 14, 21, 28 and November 4, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Let's explore the mystery of watercolor together. We will concentrate on underpaintings that will make your colors glow, with emphasis on pushing the boundaries of the medium. Some prior experience with watercolor is helpful for this class. This class has a requested supply list available online and in the library’s information center. Instructor: Nancy Stewart Matin

Intrigued by Watercolor - Supply List If you have supplies, bring what you have.  We’ll discuss our “tools” first day.  If you are a beginner, Nancy encourages you to get your brush wet as cheaply as possible; if you catch the bug, you can easily upgrade to better supplies.
